Subscription plans, payments, and token usage

Overview

Happ uses a subscription-based billing model with separate plans for text (messenger) assistants and voice (phone call) assistants.

Text Assistant Plans

For messenger-based AI assistants (Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Viber):

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Your Plan

Go to Settings > Billing to see your current plan, token balance, and billing period.

Upgrading

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Upgrade on the desired plan
  3. Confirm payment
  4. Plan upgrades immediately

Cancelling

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Access continues until the end of the current billing period

Subscription States

Token Usage

What Are Tokens?

Tokens represent your AI usage credits. They are consumed when the assistant processes and generates responses. Token consumption depends on:

  • Conversation length — Longer conversations use more tokens
  • AI model — GPT-4 and Claude Opus use more tokens than GPT-3.5
  • Knowledge base — Vector search queries consume additional embedding tokens
  • Tool calls — Each tool call round uses tokens for the LLM request

Token Deduction

Tokens are deducted per chat session at a rate of 0.2 credits per interaction. This is tracked separately from raw LLM tokens for billing purposes.

Monitoring Usage

Track your token consumption in Settings > Billing:

  • Current token balance
  • Usage over time
  • Per-message token breakdown (input/output tokens, model used)

Running Low

If approaching your token limit:

  1. Upgrade your plan for more tokens
  2. Use efficient models — GPT-4o Mini or Gemini Flash use fewer tokens
  3. Optimize prompts — Shorter prompts consume fewer tokens
  4. Trim knowledge base — Remove unnecessary entries to reduce context size

Payments

View payment history in Settings > Billing > Payment History. Each entry shows amount, date, and status (succeeded, pending, rejected).

Invoices

Invoices are generated for each billing cycle. Download them from the billing page for your accounting records.
